Hailing from Varese in the north of Italy, Giacomo exudes a European sophistication that begins with his warmth and charming smile and extends to his impeccable attire and sartorial style.

A natural host, master of silver service and wine connoisseur, Giacomo brings an unforgettable presence to the dining experience at Huka Lodge.

Giacomo and his then girlfriend (now wife!) Roberta arrived in New Zealand eight years ago. Giacomo was already a food and beverage professional and Roberta was a beautician by trade. The couple accepted roles in the restaurant at Huka Lodge and quickly made their mark. Today Giacomo and Roby each hold key stations at Huka Lodge, with Giacomo now Restaurant Manager while Roby is Breakfast Supervisor.

In between times they’ve chosen to make Taupo their adopted home, buying a house and welcoming two beautiful bambini, 22-month old Sofia and three-month old Elisa, to their family.
