A story of progression as heartening as it is deserved, Sahil Pritmani began his journey with Baillie Lodges almost ten years ago.

Initially joining the team at Southern Ocean Lodge in 2014 on an internship through the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School, it didn’t take long for Sahil to leave a positive impression. Three separate tenures over three years saw his progression from intern to Food and Beverage Attendant, Restaurant Supervisor and finally Restaurant Manager. Flash forward to 2022, and Sahil has now worked at two lodges within the Baillie Lodges collection, and is newly appointed to the role of Assistant Lodge Manager at Silky Oaks Lodge, a position he shares with colleague Staci Godbeer.

Renowned for his ever-calm nature and approachability, Sahil is well placed to help man the helm at the bustling North Queensland bolthole, quite comfortably the largest lodge within the Baillie Lodges collection. He can be found anywhere and everywhere around the lodge grounds, constantly moving and tending to the daily tasks that are so often unforeseen. Sahil thrives on both the proactive and reactive nature of the role and appreciates that no two days are ever the same.

‘This is a unique place, fantastic location, a great team, and just an experience that you’re going to hold on to for the rest of your life. Working with Baillie lodges, they nurture talent in the business. If you want to learn and take on new responsibilities, they will always offer you a keen ear and help form a pathway for you to get to where you want to be’, Sahil said.

A nature lover and fitness enthusiast, while not on shift he can usually be found taking advantage of the inviting swimming holes, kayaking, and running the network of trails around the region.
